Organised by our synergy project, 3-CO, in collaboration with BioReCer, the event will take place on 8 April 2025, from 13:00 to 14:30 CET.

Digital innovation plays a crucial role in strengthening the competitiveness of bio-based feedstocks and products in the European bioeconomy. Digital tools provide essential insights into sustainability criteria, enabling better tracking and traceability of biological feedstocks from origin to final product. This supports transparent labelling, certification schemes, and informed decision-making for both consumers and industry stakeholders.

The webinar will introduce four innovative digital tools developed within EU-funded projects, demonstrating their potential to enhance the sustainability and transparency of bio-based value chains:

• 3-CO Project: Loha Hashimi and Armand Carreras (ENIDE) will present consumer-based digital solutions that provide insights into eco-labels and certifications of bio-based products, supporting sustainable consumption.
• BiobasedCert Cluster: Luana Ladu (TU Berlin) will showcase an app that evaluates certification schemes and labels for bio-based value chains, developed by Star4bbs, HARMONITOR, and Sustcert4Biobased.
• BIORADAR Project: David Nettleton and Poojan Timilsina (IRIS Technology) will introduce a self-assessment tool that analyses the performance of industrial bio-based systems, aiding stakeholders in decision-making.
• BioReCer Project: Romain Magnani (EGM) will present the BioReCer ICT Tool (BIT), which automates environmental assessments of bio-based value chains, supporting sustainable practices.
