FOODPathS Festival: Building tomorrow’s Sustainable Food Systems together
From 20 to 22 May 2025, the FOODPathS Festival will take place in Brussels, offering a three-day programme dedicated to advancing sustainable food systems through collaborative action.
Organised by the EU-funded FOODPathS project, the event brings together stakeholders from across Europe – including policymakers, researchers, funding bodies, civil society organisations and industry representatives – to explore how inclusive partnerships can support the transformation of Europe’s food systems.
A central feature of the Festival is the launch of FOODPathS’ proposed “Partnership Prototype”, a new collaborative model designed to enable long-term cooperation between diverse food system actors. The Prototype builds on two years of co-creation and consultation within the FOODPathS project, and serves as a potential foundation for the future European Partnership on Sustainable Food Systems (SFS).
Participants will engage in a mix of keynote sessions, panel discussions and hands-on workshops, with topics ranging from governance and funding mechanisms to innovation strategies, education, and the role of citizen engagement. The programme is designed to foster exchange between actors operating at different levels and to provide practical tools that can support real-world implementation.
